Jerv, the religious right never had a mind to lose. +5

I'm religious (sort-of. Well, I used to be anyway..) and I'm a conservative, so I don't need to see your video to know that it isn't representative of all religious conservatives. just a handfull of wack jobs. Now I'm going to watch it.

The religious right lost their minds years ago. Or as one respondent said, they had no mind to lose.

I have a few great excuses to spoil my children a couple times a year. Halloween is one of them! Until split pea soup spews from their mouths, this will remain a happy tradition. My husband, on the other hand, will not fare so well this year :) +5

These people are a little nuts, kids just want to have fun and eat candy. I was never allowed to celebrate Halloween, but I'm taking my 6 year old neighbor trick or treating tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.

Oh by the gods. I was sure this came from The Onion or something. I guess the religious are right, evolution isn't real. If it was, it would have phased out people like that a long time ago. Actually no, not true. I totally appreciate the interview with the reverend, he's intelligent and awesome. Kudos to him. *Raises fist.* And as he pretty much implies, I wouldn't be much bothered with religious people who concentrate on the Devil a lot more than God. What a load of crap. Somebody get that bitch a fucking joint. And LOL "wussy Goths". What the hell? Oh well...least they're too busy blaming Gummy Bears on Dracula to be performing Harry Potter book burnings.

... and with this video, the religious extremists should be institutionalized and heavily sedated. I wonder how many wear tin foil hats and see Elvis at the local Wal-mart? It was not too tightly wrapped before but this is just plain bonkers. Clinically bonkers. At least there are people like Reverend Lynd (spelling?) in the second half of the video who are spreading logic.

Crazy people make me smile.

ahhh halloween , or samhain as it's real name .. for witch's wiccans and pagans . samhain actually means "summers end " .. and happens when the moon reaches 15% scorpio. it's true date is usually early november . it is actually the pagan new year . early christians tried to join in on the celebrations , dressing up as dead saints .. hence the blood in costumes , all saints / souls day ,, and devils night and devil costumes .. when this did not work . a bishop actually took their holiday and changed it to the same night as the pagans to over shadow it and discredit it ... happy samhain , and thanx for the question ;-)

Halloween pumpkins are a good symbol for the skulls of this kind of religious Right: just a little candle burning inside.
