You're reading I have a formal dining room table and the arms on the end chairs are too tall to slide beneath the table. How do you increase the height of the table by approximately one inch?

no kidding. I mean this is a very expensive, formal dining room and chairs. is there special elegant looking hardware to accomplish this or will the legs need to be somehow modified?

IF THE CHAIRS ARE MADE OF WOOD CUT APPROX.1 1/4" OFF BOTOM OF CHAIR LEGS.
