  • In Catholicism, it is the ceremony that is believed to transform the wine into blood. Without it, it's just wine.
  • Correct me if I am wrong, however, I think Catholics believe that, during communion, you are drinking Jesus’ actual blood. Most Protestants do not believe that you are drinking His blood. I don't believe we are drinking His actual blood, myself. In my opinion, the wine is symbolic of His blood. I think it is ok to believe otherwise, though. Good question +5
  • ewww i don't want to drink anyones blood and you may have ruined wine for me now.
  • It is not literal...It means to really appreciate what Jesus sacrificed for us... Blood to Jehovah God is precious, not to be mis - used. So the spilling of the blood of his own son was THE MOST IMPORTANT GIFT God could give us. The false teaching that Jesus IS GOD HIMSELF just confuses the issue. But for a father to ask his son to make a sacrifice for people who mostly do not appreciate the effort...this can be understood. False religion has a lot to answer for...
