'Deception Point' was OK, but by far and away his best book is 'Angels and Demons'. 'The Da Vinci Code' was a victim of its own success...

Yes! He copied Matthew Reilly's "Ice Station" and edited it so that no one could accuse him for plagiarism. Except his edits were REEEALLY bad and crappy and stupid and...read "Ice Station" yourself and see. For extra proof for the plagiarism, if you look at the print date of the original copies of "Ice Station," you can see it was printed in 1997, whereas "Deception Point" was in 2004)

Ive read all his books and I love them all. They have sort of a 'jules verne' quality. (Mabie its just me that thinks that). Anyway my fav. was 'Digital Fortress'. I was also a bit disappointed by Deception Point, but then again all his books are a bit disappointing, if you look at it like this: Theres always something incredibly awesome thats supposed to happen, something so huge that it would be too much even for a movie, yet its always a clever deception; (spoilers) Davinci Code - End of the Catholic Church Angels and Demons - End of the Catholic Church + Mass Murder Digital Fortress - Unbreakable Codes & Anarchy Deception Point - Alien Life

im sorry but i wouldn't touch his books with a bargepole...

It wasn't as good as the Robert Langdon books, but Deception Point wasn't bad. The first half was a little slow, but it ended pretty good.
