  • They are! They just don't have the motivation for it!
  • They do not do well for many reasons. Many Teachers do not know how to motivate their students. Some Kids are just eager to rebel because they have problems outside school. Some Kids today are obsessed with computers and like the challenges of breaking in. LOL they could be future Bill Gates.
  • Because some students are smart and show enthusiasm in one area but are very dumb and lazy in others! (lol)
  • good point, it comes back to ethics and laziness !! :)
  • Some have learning disabilities and difficulties which interfere with learning certain types of information dyslexia is one so is autism, etc.. There are definite differences in ability for different types of reasoning and learning. As an example, I am a poor speller. I blame it on the fact that I wasn't taught phonies, but I can't sound out the words to spell them. Most of the time I spell by memory instead. However, I am good in math and I can envision computer programs, possibilities and links to the point I was a team leader in building new programs/systems in my last few years of work. In addition, some need to be challenged and sometimes are not easily motivated by things in which they have little or no interest.
