  • traditional. florescent light is too harsh and very bad for telling the difference between colours. it also makes my head ache.
  • Florescent. They are cheaper in the long run, lasting 7 times or more than incandescent. They will take up less space in the landfill. You will save 66% or more in energy consumption. The downside is that they emit an "uglier" light. Now is the time for all of us to be moving more positively with the environment in view.
  • I like the white glow of fluorescent lamps over the yellow light of incandescent bulbs. Fluorescent tubes are great energy savers too. Lately I am beginning to shift to the more efficient and more compact energy saving lamps.
  • Florescent... brightens the room more and is cheaper... Some people say that it's annoying, but I can't tell the difference... I actually think the incandescent bulbs are more annoying because they don't light up the room enough...
  • I know the fluorescents are more 'green' but I don't like the color of the light. And yes, I know that they have come out with less garish 'bright' but it still doesn't have that nice warmth of the incandescent glow. Even room colors look different with the new bulbs. I'm not ready to paint yet. In places where it doesn't matter what color or what feel I want, I use them.
