  • It depends in the United States. In Iowa, and other mid-west states, I know you can have a school permit as young as 15. In New York, where I live, you get it when you're 16.
  • in my state (texas) its 16, i'm not sure if that's the same for the whole country.
  • 16 here in Georgia (US).
  • in Malaysia.. (nope, ain't my country, am just staying here) you can get a motorcycle licence at 16 (was it?) a car licence at 18.. it's really a 'P' licence.. 'P' for probation i think.. but it can be considered as a full licence.. really becomes a full licence 2 years later.. if you stay out of trouble.. :D
  • 16 in Louisiana.
  • In Georgia it's 16, but there are certain rules. For example, you must be enrolled in high school or have already graduated (early, I suppose.) If you drop out of high school you are not allowed to get your license until you get your GED. I think this was to prevent the students who felt they would be better off dropping out of high school to work minimum wage jobs.
  • At 16 you have full license, no restrictions, but it states you are a minor...U.S.
  • Victoria, Australia - 16 for learners, 18 for Probationary license, and 3 years after you get your P's you are a fully licensed driver. It is different in other states of Australia.
  • In Ontario (Canada): 16 to have your G1 (You can drive with an adult) 8 Months later to have your G2 (You can drive alone, certain restrictions may apply [ie. 0% alc-blood content]) 1 Year later to have your G (Full license)
  • 15 in Florida. I got it at 15 because I had a job and needed reliable transportation. Otherwise it's 16.
  • Here in Ireland you have to be 17 to get a full license .
