Acid from some fruits is one way

Placing hydrogen peroxide on cotton or in the mouth and gargling is antiseptic and healing, but the "bubbling" feels strange. Since we could be talking about several types of ulcers with various treatments needed, Check this very good website to determine what your specific condition is and the method of treatment. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001448.htm#Definition

I get them from fruits, especially oranges. There are some remedies at the drug store that will help with the pain but I never found them to make them go away faster. I don't remember any names off hand but it's something like canker-ease or something to that affect.

Stress may cause chewing on the inside of your mouth, which would be the same as the doctor stated. Whether during sleep or nervous biting while stressed. Infected taste buds can act like blisters maybe caused by the foods that you are eating, such as certain fruits with alot of acid in them.

dip your pinky finger into a little bi-carb powder, and place it straight onto the ulcer. It will hurt like anything but it always worked for me.

I definitely get these with stress and the best thing I have found for them (other than trying to address the stress situation) is an enzymatic mouth rinse called Biotene. It works very well and very quickly. I got mine at Target but most drug stores will probably carry it. Avoid acidic foods for now or at least rinse well after eating them.

Stress is a major factor. they are herpes simplex (I think), which most people have in the body, but it stays under control unless you are stressed. Salt and water is a good one, eating citrus, vinegar anything that is acidic will help get rid of them, and find out what is causing the stress...

look around the web and people will generally agree salt works amazingly well, especially if they are in places in your mouth which make eating or chewing difficult. In my opinion (and I'm no doctor) just regular salt on a clean damp finger or cotton bud works wonders, at first it will hurt like a bitch but the pain quickly goes and you can even see it working. If your brave enough really try and pack it into the ulcer and address it early on, I think most people agree they wait till it's really bad before they start treating it. why do we do that?? I travel a lot and have lived in a hotel for a few months so I blame it on my diet. The one I have at the moment hurts like a %"$@*&< !!! Don't bother with gels as they don't work as quickly. Good luck

my wife says that mouth ulcers mean you need a laxitive

A great remedy for mouth ulcers is Alum. Alum is a pickling spice. You can get it in the grocery store in the spice isle. Just dampen your finger, put it in the alum and then dab it on the ulcer. It has a bitter taste but does the trick after putting it on a couple of times.

Equal parts baking soda and salt. While undergoing chemo I got bad sores in my mouth. Gargle with this 2-4 times a day and thay will clear up real quick.

I had them all the time. Ouch. My doctor told me there wasn't one answer to what caused them. Stress was the most common. He said the body needed a particular enzyme, what it was called I can't remember. He said that blue cheese or buttermilk contained it. Said that swishing buttermilk in my mouth, don't rinse and then swallowing it would take care of it. It was like magic. Just minutes later the pain subsided and after a couple of days, the ulcers would go away. It would be months before they ever came back and this worked every time. It's been years since they have shown up.
