Have you checked your starter? I have a 96 Taurus and recently experienced a similiar problem. Check the battery first. It could also be your battery cables.

You're reading I got a 97 taurus 3.0L no start, no crank the car wont jump start. Got no power what so ever. Jumpin the solenoid didnt do anything either.
