He did something you didn't- he is in the process of not only cleaning up a mess, he's also attempting to stave off the collapse of the house due to the excessive rot and decay from the negligence from his elder brother.
Instead of just making another mess, I suggest you get off your lazy arse and at the very least TRY to make it look like you're doing something.
Even my kids have figured that last part out.
