Yes. I saw a ghost coming to me. I opened the front door and yelled out, "Go away stupid!" I saw it when I was little. SPOOKY.

I live in a pretty old house. One night, I was cooking supper, frying potatoes, and was wondering if I had enough salt on them. The salt shaker moved towards me across the top of the stove. I thought I was probably imagining it ( of course!), and moved it back. It did it again. Believe it or not, it really happened...

I have a lot lately. My fiancee said that when he died he would come back and check on us if he could. and he has. The night he died he hid the sugar bowl from his mother and then put it back into the cupboard. He hid a picture from our house in a box at his mother's. He told his stepfather where his dog tags had gotten lodged in his car dash and kept the step dad from dumping snow down my back while we were searching the car (knocked his hand into the roof). My son whose two has seen him on two seprate occassions. His father and sister saw the exact same fog in their houses at the same time while they were on the phone talking about him. I had the 4 year old daughter of a friend of his call me and ask about him and I would ever leave him. Our number is not on their speed dial and they didn't know he had died. And I smell his cologne all the time. I don't have the bottle, his mother does. And we haven't even separated his ashes out yet. Ghostly enough for you?

When I was a child, my family would congregate at my great-grandmother's house for holidays. It was centrally located and had lots of room. I awoke one morning and told my mother about a dream I had about a man sitting at the dresser looking in the mirror. She thought nothing about it. Later that day she told my grandmother and great-grandmother of the dream I had and they both looked at each other and cringed. My great-grandmother's great uncle had shot himself in that chair where I dreamed he was sitting and was wearing the the exact clothing I had described when he committed the act. I was very little and vaguely remember it, but my family still shudders when I bring it up in conversation.

I was talking to my Uncle and my cousin at my grandmother's house. We were packing her things to move her out of the house. We were upset because she wanted to move and we didn't want her to move. But it's what she wanted, so we went along with it. We were all in agreement that she should just stay put. I picked up an old magazine from 1974. Gerald Ford's face on the cover. On the back cover in my Grandfather's handwriting (he died 4 years ago) were the words "Those who know how to live, know where to live. What is the difference?" This was two days after Ford died.

I have a tale to tremble by. It happened about 3:30 Am as I was painting a kitchen in a bar and grill. The usual business hours were 6:00 Am to 1:00 Am. The only time I could paint was when the bar was closed. I had my drop cloths out and had a good portion of an entire wall painted when the motor from the walk-in cooler turned off. I though nothing of it until I heard footsteps walking across the wooden floor. I thought it was the owner checking on my progress so I continued to work. Then, I heard chairs sliding around (like the sound of someone pulling chairs out from under a table to sit on them). I looked and there was no one there. Just me. With my hair standing on end, I finished painting that kitchen in under three minutes. The next day I learned from the owner that no one else would stay late to paint the place because it used to be a mortuary.

Yes, but folks think I was dreaming because it happened in the middle of the night. She was a specter in a raggedy, frayed wedding dress. She seemed to be watching over me in bed. When she "realized" I was awake, she shrank back. I tried to touch her and she retreated at a ninety degree angle. I swear I wasn't dreaming.

I live in an old house in the country. One of the rooms used to be part of a one room school house and it has been completely remodeled. Sometimes, when music is being played it shuts off by itself. This has happened 3 times at different times of the year and day. Once I heard foot steps coming up 2 stairs to our bedrooms and then stop and my jewlery box in the bathroom has moved twice and I KNOW no one moved it.

When I was in the shower, I was expecting my boyfriend to come over. It was sunny and all but the window was high enough that you dont see shadows of cars going by. This huge shadow moved passed the shower curtain and I thought it was my boyfriend tyring to scare me. I threw open the curtain to shock him when no one was there. I got a towel and looked out the front door and he wasn't even there. Later when we were moving out my daughter saw the same shadow which was following behind a much smaller shadow crossing the kitchen doorway.

While I consider myself hughly sane I tell very few of these encounters. There have been many and spread over many years and locations. I am not a paranoid indiviual nor even searching for such events, nonetheless they occur, enough to make the hair stand up on the back of your neck.

I had just moved into an old house I was about eleven, i was digging around in the yard and I was attracted too a spot by an old tree, so I dug and Out came, i din't know what it was then, but it was an ern, about an hour after i threw it away, a pot from on top of the stove was thrown at me, and about from then on weird stuff started happening, lights on and off, t.v, another dish thrown at my mother until I buried it again, and the activity stopped.

I've lived in a haunted house my whole life. It's a very old house...built before the civil war so the chances there were deaths in the house is great. I've seen apparitions, but mostly I felt and heard things that can be considered paranormal. Mostly I have seen people out of the corner of my eye walking past me. There is actually a place in my house we like to call the “hot spot”, because nearly everyone who enters my house and sits at that place at the table either sees a spirit, or feels someone touch them that is not there. My boyfriend did, my sister-in-law has, my sister’s ex boyfriend did…I know my parents and brothers have also. As for me when I sit there usually I can see in my peripheral vision, or feel the presence of someone enter the room, and begin to talk to them, only noticing when they do not respond the in fact no one has come in the room. If you want to know more about what’s gone on in my house you can email me ;)

When I was about 9 My dad was taking me and my 3 brothers up stairs for bed, when all the sudden I looked over and thought I'd seen my mom in the back room so I yelled mommys home and my brother looked over and yelled yeah mommy your home early as we both ran toward the shadow my dad yelled get back here your moms not home what are you talking about get to bed, my brother and I looked back and it was gone but we stood there confused. We both thought we'd seen her in here long black leather jacket. In the morning we all sat in the living room and my brother asked my mom if she came home early my dad said the kids thought they'd seen you, I told my mom I swore it was her wearing her long jacket my mom started to cry and said did you see a hat too I said yes, she said it was the same ghost that came to her as a little girl in a long black cape and hat. Me n my brother were stunned. A year later the ghost came up the stairs to my door way and stood there I froze and cryed and screamed for my parents. Me and my mother both grew up in the same house, we found out it was a spot where pilgrims and indians once lived near the delaware river in Jersey. No wonder me and my brothers always found arrow heads. and we found out We were living next to an indian burral site. Creepy...and I'll never forget what i'd seen and my brother my witness too.

Yes, Throughout my adult life VERY unusual things have happened, and,at first, I wasn't a believer. In 1980,Southern California, age 25,I went camping with a fine friend who is an archeaologist studying the Chumash indian culture there. The area we were in is known to have had a large indian settlement in the 1700s.By 1980 it was all natural growth, trees,a creek;nothing to suggest an indian village. The park rules were no camping at all, closed at dark. With 6 square miles of park,we decided to camp anyway and hide in the brush from any rangers. I asked my friend many questions about the indians and where the village sites were, but he wouldn't tell me for fear of 'pot-hunters',folks who unlawfully excavate sacred places. I'm in complete sympathy. By dark we had our sleeping bags well tucked in under the dry sagebrush, and enjoyed the stars and craggy peaks. No sooner had we wriggled into bed than a man's voice, very nearby, was heard moaning. OOUUGH! OOUUGH!(No one could be there, for the brush was much too dry, and we'd hear crackling and crunching of someone moving about). My friend said:"I know that wasn't you" We shrugged it off,but I wasn't so sure.A moment later the distinct sensation of a hand brushing across the top of my head startled me, for I knew it couldn't be him! I immediately started praying quietly something like:'O spirit of this sacred place, please forgive us being here; we mean no harm and wish to honor you and the memory of your people.Let us stay this one night...' Some such-it seemed to work, for we weren't troubled again. We left before dawn so's the rangers wouldn't find us, and on the hike out I told my friend about the unseen hand that touched me. He looked dismayed, and said:"we were near their burial ground". If he'd only told me sooner. This is a true story!

the bedroom I lived in when I was 16 disturbing things would happen like a poltergiest was there, first thing that happened was knocking on the walls when I looked in the next room noone was ever there, then I came in one night late my tea mug was smashed into tiny really small pieces all over the carpet, and one night my nan freaked me out telling me to get it or something away from her like something was really scaring her.I was so frightened this is something ive never told anyone about because it freaked me out.

The only time I have, was when I stay at my grandmothers, (Before my Uncle died he was a bouncer and would come home (live with my grandmother he was only 28) around 3 in the morning) I would sleep out in the living room on the pull-out couch, and I would wake up to hearing the screen door being slammed and the door being closed after it like he would always do. And it is weird because it doesn't freak me out. It actually makes me smile.

Oh yeah, and I still remember it vividly, even though it was at least 4 years ago. We (my friends) were having a year end party at a friends house (it was soon to be her grandma's house). We went down to the basement to hangout (no ac). There was one little room that was creepy. It only had 1 tiny window which was covered by plants growing outside, the way the area was shaped light from the basement didn't reach into it. It was rather small & carpeted with nothing in it. We went into it and it no one could stay in the room alone before something scared them out. We held a séance. We had freaky results; we sat in a circle with our hands held. I felt someone poke my arm (near the shoulder) 2x. I was in 2 different places on the floor. Another thing that happened was my friend had a crystal and she held her palm flat with the crystal in the middle of it, the crystal actually began to glow, then it rolled from her hand to the floor. There was a spot of lite on the floor that split into two. We also did that 'light as a feather, stiff as aboard' thing & had weird results. We tried it with the smallest & biggest of us. We couldn't, lift the smallest girl but easily lifted the biggest girl. When we tried it again, elsewhere (upstairs) to see if we would get anything different/same, it was weird, the results we got were opposite the ones from the one in the basement. We were freaked.
