  • Yes, you can purchase a licence to use Microsoft Office that can then be used on a laptop. Most places that sell laptops would be happy to sell you one at the same time as your laptop purchase too. Personally, I'd rather keep my money and use the free office suite: http://openoffice.org
  • I just bought three computer (2 lap tops) for my family and was told they stopped putting Office on them. I think Microsoft used the bundle marketing to grab market share and acceptance and now that they have the bulk of the market the contributed margin is much greater if it is sold unbundled. I bought it as a stand alone and downloaded onto the computers.
  • go to Java. they have a complete office version that is fully compatible with the Microsoft Office and its FREE.
