A spouse cannot be forced to testify. If they could possibly say anything harmful, there is NO way their spouse's council would allow him/her to testify. If the spouse does testify, they can be held as a hostile witness and be required to answer all questions with Yes or No answers. Failing to answer would result in contempt of court and possible imprisonment.

no you can not be forced to answer anything at all in court as far as saying something bad about my s/o I would rather go to jail then to see her go
