Rhinestone necklace would be nice. I have this antique store near me that has all these vintage rhinestore necklaces and bracelets in every color for around $20. I bet you would get lots of compliments. Works for me:)

Since a black dress is simple, you can use snazzy jewelry and accessories that make a statement (i.e. big, bold earrins and necklaces). Your bag should match your shoes, if at all possible.
