    I think it depends on your region or city. I live in a place where any girl regardless of her looks or weight can get any guy she wants.

    This number is also reported as the male proportion of total births, or 0.514 = 51.4%.
    Age structure in the United States:
    0-14 years: 20.1% (male 32,107,900/female 30,781,823);
    15-64 years: 66.8% (male 104,411,352/female 104,808,064);
    65 years and over: 13.1% (male 17,745,363/female 23,377,542) (2011)
    At age 52 the head count of females starts to move ahead of the male population.

    Based on life insurance statistics, after age 52 there would naturally be more single females than single males.
    Married couples would obviously be a balance of 1 to 1.
