That there is still hope for mankind. I have met some wonderful people here and they have managed to restore my faith in people as a whole. When the world seems full of mean spirited and nasty people, it's nice to come here and see that goodness still exists in great quantities.

how people tackle certain issues...some times its a real eye opener :)

That I'm not much different than a great number of other people. Once upon a time, I wanted to be different. Now I find solace that I'm not the only one. Peace, crazy people. :)

Yes I did. I learned Gerard Butler's name and that Bare Minerals is a good product. I learned that some of the things I thought were unique to me are quite common after all; like dipping fries into chocolate shakes. I learned that some people can manage to disagree with me and still be perfectly civil; and in some cases even quite nice. I learned that the leaves turn color when it's fall in Australia. I got a tip on a site to find hard to find music. Come to think of it I have learned quite a bit from AB; all of it useful to me.

I've learned a lot about myself and I've found some great people here

I have learned a great deal here, and expect to continue doing so. The biggest thing that I have learned so far, because of a comments battle with a user called Junk Yard Dog is that the extant situation where organizations that exclude whites are allowed in society, while the vice versa is not allowed, has been caused by, and can be blamed almost entirely on, white supremacists and the groups that they belong to like the KKK and Aryan nations. Thanks Junk Yard Dog!

that there are definately different strokes for different folks.

I've learned all kinds of stuff. Like last night I learned how to cook black eyed peas. And I've made all kinds of friends.

Oh yes, I've learned both good and bad from my short time at Answerbag. And, all of it is useful. In particular, I've learned that people need, use, and grow from the information I provided. Conversely, I've learned that some people here are quick to judge and to even accuse one of multiple identities. And, while this hurt me deeply, it is more important for me to use AB as a distraction from chronic pain, than for me to be derailed by confused, defensive people.

I certainly have . . . many times!

Lots of things. Some things about relationships, some about religions and how people relate to it and think about it. Some things about the law. Lots of other things also. A great learning experience.
