  • If you don't have the money to take your dog to the vet when he could be in mortal danger, I suggest you go to the local shelter and explain the situation so that they can give him the care he needs before rehoming him.
  • Take him to the vet and explain to them. Maybe they will take payments or can arrange a visit at a low price at some kind of clinic. Often you can get a free visit when you partake of a clinic's services if you qualify for it financially. Or you can call your local animal welfare agency and explain to them about your sick dog and they might be able to help or get the dog into a foster home.
  • Look on the web for local vet hospitals. There are some that run by donations and will help a pet if you are financially strapped. They will still charge you but will accept small payments and charge a minimal rate. Often they are associated with vet schools and get free services from young vets in training. Good luck.
