You're reading I'm about to be taken off the depression medication I have been on for about 2 years. My doctor says it will be painful and similar to drug-withdrawal. Has anyone gone through this process and is willing to share their experience? I'm a bit scared.

You're welcome. Don't believe a doctor who says your withdrawal from antidepressants has to be "painful." If he takes you off of them slowly, that is simply not the case. Sure, it is "drug withdrawal" technically, but if done slowly, the body and mind adjust to it. If you feel you are still depressed, be sure and be in touch with a counselor so you can talk things out.
