Have a pimple in my ear and is very painfull without going to the doctor how can i get rid of it or relieve the pain?

try placing a hot rag on it to draw the infection up, then maybe use a sterlized needle to open it. If its on the outside only

If you go on www.webmd.com you will look under abscess. What you have in your ear is called a furuncle. I get them sometimes. They can be painful. Misjackel is right, you need to drain the abcess which is full of pus dead cells and bactereia. I have used hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip if I get to them right away. You may have to go to the Dr. to have it incised and drained. I have had this done too. It can be painful but it is a good idea to keep your own fingers and germs out of your ear. I had one infected so badly that my ear canal was swollen shut....because I kept picking at it to pop it, and I had washed my hands before and it still got worse. Good luck.

I have the same thing rite now but I had a little 1 in 1 year and a Huge one in the other ear. I popped the little one and it is fine. The big one, I am just going to have to see. I hate going to the doctor, so I will do the best I can not to!

Pop it!! With a q-tip. But then keep your ear really clean cos otherwise you'll get more in the same/near place. They actually pop quite easily. Making it hot by dipping a facecloth in really hot water (repeatedly) and pressing it against it and then pop it with a q-tip on either side. Lotsa clear pus will come out and maybe a lil blood :) If you dont pop it it will be there for AGES. (p.s the hot cloth thing works on ALL pimples esp if the are those horrible invisible-head ones!! lol

Anonymous advicee was NO HELP, pop it? I hade that same problem. Don't touch it because the infection might spread, don't lean on it because it will cause it to either pop or hurt really bad, and don't scratch it because its just painful. Try taking some Advil or Tylenol that will fight the pain. If the pain keeps then You really need a doctor.

let it run its course...eventually you will bump it and it will pop.....ugh

Oh my I had the same problem last year, dont ever try popping it because the infection can spread. You can either wait for someone and see if the pain subsides and if it dries out but if it gets worse you'll have to see the doc, he gave me some painkillers and a liquid to put in the ear and the whole thing went away in no time.

or put a rag on it wit warm water tht usually works

i have the same thing and it hurts soo bad and everyone is right don't pop it!

dude I have that right now and I don't know what to do except trying to pop it didn't work and I couldn't see it in the mirror cause it was pretty far in there. I'll post again when I get rid of it to see what worked

im just feeling the same right now . but i cant find any q tip anywhere its sooooooooooo painful and sometimes when i burp it hurts and sometimes i cant hear anything with that ear

garlic oil helped me and peroxide and water mix to wash that $hit out

well, I have your same problem right now! What you can do to get rid of it is... leave it alone for a couple days, and while your at it... put neosporin on it. It works for me! (I got it from answers.com)

p.s. to get rid of the pain as fast as possible ( it doesn't get rid of the pimple...) works just as well as neosporin but if not...try Vaseline! it works great also.
oh and I know pimples and Zits are practically the same thing! But its a Zit

I'm not quite sure what i have. i just have pain in my ear whenever i touch this bump in it. it just showed up today and nothing is really wrong with it. just hurts a little. Wonder what it could be....Anyways, I agree with the other answers too.

Ugh, i HAD one like ten minutes ago-.- That lil 'zit' hurt all my ear, like everytime I would touch any part of my ear it would hurt sooooo bad. Since it's in the ear canal, getting rid of it isn't likely going to be an option, and in fact will likely hurt more. The only thing to do is wait it out, as it'll eventually clear up or drain in a week or so. As for the pain, simply use over-the-counter painkillers like ibuprofen.

I have one right now. This is day 5. I can't sleep and it is causing my jaw pain and tooth aches. Pain killers are barely helping but the doctor told me to leave it alone and let it go away on its own. It's so painful that I break down in tears. Any ideas to help with the pain?

Guys I have one in my right ear right now and I went to see the head of ENT (ear nose and throat) at a local hospital cuz mom was friend with his wife and he prescribed me with some Anti-bacteria solution for me to use on the external, anti-biotics and some pain-killers just in case it hurts too much.

The pain has subsides (worst is when I lay on the bed, unable to sleep for couple days).
