Their all owned by the parent corp Fox Media Group, and in reality they are all owned by Rupert Murdoch.

They are both part of News Corporation, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch. However, the film business and the news business are different divisions with different direct managers.

Same conglomerate. Pretty much all mass news media is controlled by mass media conglomerates, of which there are maybe 20-30 in the world (with four or five that control most of the media). For the most part, news divisions are very right-wing because their mission is to push the agenda of the conglomerates they serve. Fox is only unique in that it abandoned the pretext of objectivity (although it still claims to be "fair and balanced") in favor of overt propagandizing (which perhaps makes it more honest than CNN or MSNBC, ironically). Profit-driven entertainment divisions can afford to be less rightist because they have little political influence next to news divisions and have to appeal to a broader audience. Even rabid neocons aren't going to go see a film starring a bunch of Glenn Becks every night.

G'day RC loves Ice Cream, Thanks for your question. They are both owned by the same company. BTW, you are invited to an ice cream party after becoming a maestro. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/1762995 Regards
