I dont think we Owe anyone anything, it is common courtesy to be polite to others.

IMHO nobody owes anything anything on a social site, not even honesty or civility. I am aware that certain religious, moral, and social codes call for these practical and helpful states of mind and activity, but in a strictly clinical sense, they are just ideals in themselves. That being said it is a better environment when these are a given. I also noticed a lot of different answers posed by people can possibly be included in honesty and civility.

Decency, respect, kindness, manners...about what you owe people in real life. Besides that, I might add the willingness to stand up and protect others from those who don't offer the above...the racist, the criminal, the pornographer, those who are intolerant to the views of anyone who doesn't agree with them, those who seek to insult and harm others for sport...there are plenty of those around here too.
