I can't think of a reason why someone would be against wind powered electricity, (unless the windmill thing is a turn off). I am against it - burn coal.

For. Windmills for making electricity are all over Texas already, with more to come. We have plenty of strong winds, believe me!

Completely for! It is not the solution, but it is a big help. I think that it is especially great when communities have their own windfarms and the residents have shares in the energy produced, selling excess back to the energy grid. There are a lot of vocal NIMBYs when it comes to windfarms, but that is to be expected. There are ways around avoiding great inconvenience though.

Good idea, cant rely upon them for base power, they are expensive, and dont really generate that much of electricity. But apart from that, if they are worth making then im for it.

I am defiantly for it. We need to find green alternatives to fossil fuels. Which we are going to run out of. We need to stop giving financial add to nations that support terrorism.

definitely for it. the only problem is that each windmill doesn't produce enough electricity, which is why we need a shitload of them. personally, i favour fusion power. - the reactors are completely safe with no risk of explosion. - they run on non-radioactive substances (hydrogen) and produce helium as their waste. - no massive cooling required as the immense heat is contained used powerful magnetic fields. all you need is the reactor itself and a control room. - at some point, the reaction becomes self-sustaining, requiring only 250kg of fuel per year, as apposed to coal which requires 2.7 million tonnes per year for a 1000 megawatt plant. - fusion power holds the promise of clean, unlimited energy for everyone. have a look at www.iter.org for more info.
