  • You can give it a little scrub with a scrubbing brush. even if it's live rock. But it will grow back very quickly. The best way to tackle it is to reduce the amount of time the aquarium blights are on. And maybe cut back a little on the feeding. :)
  • take a bucket of saltwater and scrub the rock with a toothbrush and shake it clean. Although hair algea is a sign of tank imbalance. You could either be overstocked, have bad tap water or need a clean up crew. there is a guide at http://www.saltwatermethods.com that can help you understand tanks much better
