Cats usually chew on things because they are bored, curious, or because of a nutrient deficiency.

Your cat will chew on almost anything that is not harmful or bitter tasting to them. Cats do these these for multiple reasons. Rather they are bored and need something to play with, likes the sound of the wrapper, or It is because it is a cat's natural instinct to chew on multiple items. I only allow my cat to chew at stuff like this, or basically anything I don't care about, but If it becomes a habit she starts chewing on other things, like your important items, I would spray her with a bottle or get this bitter spray put on the items you don't want your cat chewing.
