  • As heretical as it is to say that the government is not an all powerful dictatorship, you are correct. The media does wield huge power against the government, and there's not much the government can do about it.
  • The "media" and I'm referring here to the large news agencies are of course all owned by large corporations and reflect the views of their owners.
  • Even media's reach can be beyond their grasp. The first amendment does have limitations. Eventually they can go too far. Which is all the excuse some folks need. And which means why so many governments seek to limit free press. It used to be, that there were limitations to the number of news outlets that any one group of folks could own in America. But big bucks allowed Rupert Murdoch to override such. But Murdoch has shown he's quite capable, and willing to turn on someone, if it's in his best interest to do so.
  • Yes the media has more power in my opinion. People will believe anything they see or hear from the media.
