Help answer this question below.
King Kong Meets Queen Kong. And they live in Hong Kong. Near the river Me Kong.
I don't know. Everytime books are made into movies, the film version sucks.
The electric kool-aid acid test, by Tom Wolfe. Or perhaps On the road, by Jack Kerouac. :D
Enders Game.
Playboy mag
Prey - Michael Crichton
It'll probably suck, but I'd still like to see it.
or
Any of the Splinter Cell books.
2001 A Space Odyssey was actually a four book series. The last two below are the ones that haven't been made into movies.
1. 2061: Odyssey Three — 1987 novel
2. 3001: The Final Odyssey — 1997 novel

Autobiography of Nikola Tesla fascinating for me..
The Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey.
Roget's Thesaraus ... except the script could be kind of repetitive
It was The Road by Cormac McCarthy, but then I found out its been made into a move out this autumn, so I'm happy =)
idk maybe a book about wizards and hobbits and orcs and elfs and.......wait that sounds like Lord of The Rings
Probably Stranger In A Strange Land by Robert Heinlein. I loved that book! I would also love to see Gore Vidal's Myra Breckenridge remade.
I would chose one of Nora Roberts books. I know some of them have already been made into movies, but not the ones I really liked. I would love to see her Circle Trilogy or her Chesapeake Bay Saga.
A tie between The Bean Trees-Kingsolver and Summer Sisters-Blume. Great question!
Michael Crichton's State of Fear
Swan song - Robert McCammon
Moneyball. Oh wait, it already has!
Gilgamesh.
It is epic and ancient, and best of all, no one owns the rights to the story.
On the Road
I know a few books that I think should've been made into movies (and I can't believe they haven't done it already, because they're brilliant):
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon - Stephen King
The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time - Mark Haddon
House Rules - Jodi Picoult
A Child Called "It" - Dave Peltzer
Life As We Knew It - Susan Pfeffer
And lastly, there's a PlayStation 2 game I like playing that I think should have a film based on it; "Bully", AKA "Canis Canem Edit". The whole story in the game was so good, it really had me hooked, so it'd be cool to see them re-enact the game characters and play out the whole story as one. =o)
Going Rogue: An American Life by Sarah Palin would make for a great tragicomedy.
Undaunted Courage.
The Hundred Foot Journey
"Confessions Of A Gym Mistress", by Rosie Dixon.
Was just thinking earlier today that Hangover Soul by Loiuse Redd would make an amazing movie.

Hello Andy:
Glenda of Oz. She was MUCH cooler than Dorothy.

My Life and Loves!
"The Bat Flies Low", by Sax Rohmer.
Spielberg would love it, but unfortunately Hollywood only re-makes stories with a proven 'track record', or sequels to such stories (usually penned by hack writers whose reputations far exceed their ability).
Take 'Alien', by Alan Dean Foster. Apart from the sci-fi factor, a classic suspense movie.
The sequels were mere "splat" movies for the teenage market.
The Other Life of Brian by Graham Parker
Love in the time of Cholera. Gabriel García Márquez
"Human beings are not born once and for all on the day their mothers give birth to them, but...life obliges them over and over again to give birth to themselves."
my favorite lines from the book.
Well so far a lot of the ONES they have made into a film have pretty much been a waist of talent, money and energy and IF I do have a book, of which there are several that I would like to see in film, it's going to take a lot better than I have seen already and I don't see that happening anytime soon in the film industry...

This Perfect Day by Ira Levin. Hopefully it will be some day.
Anything 40k
Richard Bachman's ( Stephen King ) " The Regulators "
