Help answer this question below.
I've read The Great Gatsby, Fahrenheit 451, and Of Mice and Men, but I have not read The Catcher in the Rye.
I believe that all of these books are used in high schools, so they aren't all that difficult. If I remember correctly, The Great Gatsby isn't much more difficult than the other two. The language is a bit more... poetic, and although the vocabulary is more advanced, I don't think it will affect your reading of the book. In my experience, a person either loves or hates The Great Gatsby, but that has more to do with the story than with how difficult it is. It's a short-ish book, so I'd give it a try if I were you. I can't help you out with the Catcher, but I hope this answers your question.
haven't read the great gatsby. But the catcher in the rye is actually very light, at least that's the wya I felt it. It's actually fun to read. Lighter than fahrenheit 451 (haven't read mice and men either)
Of the four books that you've listed in your question, I've only read "Of Mice and Men".
Of all the books that I've read, it was the easiest to read.
You mean difficult to read?
I don't see much difference and I've read all four you mentioned.
