I have a 97 pontiac grand prix gt the heater only works on high but makes a really werid noise. just yesterday it stop working all together. can i fix this or is it time for a new one?

Sounds like it could be a blower motor and/or a blower motor resistor. If you can source a rebuild kit then you can rebuild the blower motor. If your resistor is blown you should replace it.
