It is hard to say when we will finally start taking care of each other instead of ourselves. It makes alot more sense to work together than to work against each other. But I dont know when we will learn that lesson (I include myself)..

Well in a religious aspect: It is especially filled with the main deadly sin: Pride; Greed is often just a spawn of this deadly sin. So once you say that the world will not have the pride that is considered a sin THEN mankind may love itself. In my Percpective: Mankind cannot love itself because it is filled with to much wrongs from the past and existing today.

Don't you love your family and friends then? They are part of mankind are they not? You could never live long enough to be able to love all of mankind, there are simply too many of us, so you love the ones closest to you instead.
