  • Was an injury report filed out when you broke your toe? Does your old employer have an HR department (if yes, contact them)? Were you a member of a union when you worked there (if yes, contact your shop steward)? Otherwise, you might consider contacting the Occupational Health and Safety department of your local government (might not be called that -- Worker's Safety, something like this) and/or a lawyer.
