  • it IS possible to get pregnant with an IUD. Also, it can give negative results on a home test. The biggest worry here is that it can be a tubal pregnancy. Since the IUD is supposed to prevent implantation of a fertilized egg in the wall of your uterus, pregnancy symptoms may be coming from an egg now growing in your falopian tube. (BAD!). Your best bet is to go see a doctor. If you can still see someone at the office/hospital that originally put in the IUD you'd be better off. Tell the doc you're seeing that you're worried your pregnant while using an IUD. They'll know to triple check and make sure you aren't in harms way.
