  • Beliefs should reflect actual reality. If you change your beliefs to make them more accurate, who cares what anyone calls you?
  • Absolutely. The only person who can make a decision about his/her religion is that person himself/herself.
  • Abolutely. A christian believes in the Trinity. That's the definition, not the little stuff.
  • The only requirement for a person to be a Christian, as I understand the term, is that s/he should strive to lead the kind of life that Jesus Christ would have lived. That's why many who SAY they are Christians really aren't, simply because they do not ACT like a Christian, and do things that would make Jesus Christ very disappointed with them. +5
  • I would consider that a positive step. The journey of a thousand miles begins with that first step. If retaining the label of "Christian" makes this person feel better about life, the universe, and everything I say claim it.
  • What matters is whether Christ still considers you to be a Christian. Who cares what I think. Would He still consider you to be a Christian? Have you consulted the Bible to see if you are still on the right track? Or are you making the Bible fit what pop culture, ie: Oprah Winfrey, thinks a Christian should be?
  • I would but it's not my judgement that counts anyway.
  • Yes, I would. To me, religion is like anything else in life; it requires balance. Too much to one side or the other, and you endanger the quality of your life, and relationships get sacrificed in leiu of following extremes. To me, that's what a fundamentalist seems to be. It odesn't mean they're wrong or bad; it means there isn't the balance there that I would seek. When a person accepts Christ, they also must learn to see themselves the way God sees them (faults and all)......an important step which is usually utterly ignored. Personally, I don't think God ever intended for us to turn away from our humanity. He wouldn't give us such an impossible task. Rather, I believe he sees us in full human regalia, and rejoices in his creation. All he asks is that we sincerely TRY to be better people. The goal to shoot for is to be LIKE him, not BE him. Done correctly, this endeavor indeed takes a lifetime. +5
