  • It depends on the type of disability he is getting. Assuming you're referring to social security...if it's Supplemental Security Income (this is for low income) any income received (including child support) is counted against it, and will likely lower any payments. If it is Social Security Disability Income then child support income is not counted. (SSDI...this is done on a parent's work record..you can usually tell, because the payments are often higher. SSI pmts are around 500, ssdi are more than that)
