My brother was once on a crowded bus. A woman who appeared, by her dress sense, to have certain feminist leanings (ok... I am stereotyping here), got onto the bus. My brother, being a gentleman, offered her his seat. She entered into a huge tirade about how she was perfectly capable of standing and just because she was a woman did not mean that she had to be offered a seat! My brother told her that he was not offering her a seat because she was a woman, it was because of her age! The passengers on the bus applauded!!!
