Why is the US giving financial aid to Pakistan when Pakistan is harboring Al Qaeda?

Pakistan is not harboring Al Qaeda, Al Qaeda are inside Pakistan?

Because the Pakistani Government is doing something to help us excise that cancer.

Another reason America is becoming less wealthy, less influential and less free. We are giving away our hard earned wealth and influence. Giving in to the extortionists like Pakistan and North Korea as they laugh at us.

Just because Al Quaeda is inside Pakistan, it doe not mean that Pakistan wants them there or are supporting them. Why does the US tolerate New York when New York is a hotbed of organised crime? The money is being given to Pakistan to clean out Al Queada, just as money is given to the New York FBI to clean out the Mafia.
