Frankly not much although I admire the skills of the athletes involved.
The Olympics are far too political for my tastes....I prefer my sports without all the nationalistic - us vs them garbage.

I do like watching the track and field events that I used to compete in when I was younger, but do I care? Not really, but I do know that it can be a massive economic boon for the host city and nation.

I love sports. But only when I play. I don't like to just sit and watch sports - it feels boring. That applies for the Olympics too. The only thing that can make me care is if I take part in it.

Biblitz cares a GREAT deal about the huge cost of what most of us think of as a personal thing - fitness, I mean - money that very much should have gone toward the growing legion of Vanc-Hoovervile's homeless. Certainly the real estate developers, Prem. Gord among them!, who lobbied for the extravaganza have no intention ever of bldg anything but the usual fifth-rate, leaky, toxic, inaccessible, barrier-full garbage destined to require major repairs about every five years or so! Really not much. I can get sucked in if it's on tv but sports really aren't my thing. I like the idea of them though. It's an inspiring moment when the people of all nations join together to watch the breathtaking feats and stunning maneuvering of corrupt judges downrating countries they don't like.

The way my province has handled the hosting of the 2010 olympic games so far has the olympics leaving a bad taste in my mouth, its robbery and the whole province is paying for it, no one from the north is going to the games, and not because of the distance but because no one in the north is interested in the olympics.
