Justice Scalia said it is an "outrageous conclusion" that a cross at a war memorial is a symbol honoring only Christian soldiers and not soldiers of other religions. Do you think he is right?

A cross is specifically a Christian symbol. Would it be outrageous to honor all dead soldiers with an ankh?? A pentagram??

Scalia's eventual vote on this case is pretty predictable but that aside after following him for years I have come to the conclusion that he enjoys making statements like that just to make them. I do not agree with Justice Scalia's on this, it is hardly an outrageous conclusion to the average adult no matter their religious views. The Justice is simply having a little fun with the media I think. He is a piece of work. Read some of his opinions there are a few that are pretty entertaining.

If it is truly Christian it would have to honor all.

After over 230 years of secular use by generations of Americans, I'd say the cross was pretty generic by now.
