It starts in you own mind. Start believing that you are NOT inferior to others. Make a two column list on a sheet of paper. In the left column, write down all your good points, the things you are good at, reasons people would like you and respect you. In the right column, write down all your bad points, the things about you that make you feel like you are inferior. When finished, your job is to turn all the bad points into good points, no matter what it takes. You could even make a list for this purpose: Once you identify each problems, list the steps, it order, it would take to eliminate or change that problem or character trait.

Achieve sh*t. Set yourself goals and take up challenges. Stick with them until you succeed. Learn how to do things. Study. Improve yourself. Prove to yourself you are worthy of respect. It will take some time but we're not going anywhere, are we. ;)
