  • In all likelihood, that clause in your contract is illegal. It is in my country. Besides, the contract only binds you for as long as you remain an employee, so the moment you leave the company that contract no longer applies.
  • If in doubt you could always quit or get fired.
  • You can't work for another employer that deals with the same type of work. It's called conflict of interest. You can be taking information from them and using it at the other employers place of business. You see what I mean?
