His printing more without the real wealth it is supposed to represent has not helped at all. This is a no-brainer "no no" that even first year Econ 103 students are supposed to know. But, he is not an economist, is he? Just another lawyer with dreams of ..intelligence...

The US became a net debtor nation under President Reagan. His deficits were the cause of it. If the dollar's reign is at an end, it's been decades in the making. Obama inherited the problem.

You can no more turn the US economy around on a dime than you can a super-carrier at flank speed. Obama inherited $11 trillion in national debt and an economy on the brink of Great Depression II. He can't fix it overnight, and he certainly didn't singlehandedly wreck it. It remains to be seen if the desperate measures to stave off another depression will work long term, but so far so good. I am puzzled by those who are so steeped in hatred of any ideology other than their own that they would actively work for the second great depression, the total collapse of the US economy and the loss of US economic prowess in the world so long as they could lay the blame at Obama's feet.
