If no one asked to be born then why try so hard to stay?

1) Why not? I don't see the logic. If you were given a fantastic home by chance, wouldn't you try your best to stay there? So why not do the best out of our lives? 2) Maybe you did ask to be born. This option is discussed here: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/798529 3) Some children tell their parents that they did not ask them to be born. In this case, it is just a reminder that it was the parents who took the decision to have a child, but the child did not choose to have them as parents. We don't have to be grateful to our parents if they were very bad parents (like child abusers).
