  • It sounds like you might be experiencing performance anxiety. This is when you get nervous or anxious just before or during the act of intercourse and it causes you to lose your erection. The best thing is to find a partner that you can get comfortable with... not someone new every time. It may take a few attempts before you relax around her enough to maintain your erection for the big act. Although you might not have a physical cause for ED, Viagra or Cialis might still help in this situation. Ask your doctor if he would consider writing you a prescription for one to see if it helps you maintain your erection.
  • Do you think it could be a result of guilt because you were brought up with strict morals?
  • The only advice I can give you is to relax. I had a guy that had this problem and when he was with someone understanding he could relax and everything worked out great. I know that is easier said that done.
  • The advice everyone is giving is right on target. Also, do not masterbate for speed. I've read that this can cause your problem. Often times when men masterbate, they are in a hurry to just get the pressure relieved. I'd recommend really taking about 1/2 hour to work up to that. It might help your psyche too. One thing that you should check is to see if are on any medications or herbs...some simple herbs and vitamins can cause this problem. Take a complete list of meds and anything you eat to your Dr....ask them to help you modify your diet to help build your hormones---I took propecia one time and it caused me to lose all interest in sex and couldn't get up for the act...went off of it...then back to normal. Also, I agree in finding a person that you are close too. The Viagra might help---also, I've read that Zinc can help build Testosterone, which can give you major endurance and possibly longer erections.
