God owns everything. You can only manage things for the time you are here on earth. Because in the end you can't take it with you.

Not your home, nor your cars, nor your boats will you actually own. You can pay them off or pay cash for them, but you will have to pay property taxes & insurance as long as you have possession of them. You can own your life so long as it is well documented and kept up to date. Don't try living 'off the grid' or you will be a non-persona. As babycakes said, maybe we own our thoughts -- until we verbalize them and someone else tries to take credit for them.
