    Yes,I split an incisor when I bit down on a very hard 'spice' in a pizza slice,,,they claimed no responsibility for this and the tooth had to be removed at my cost,,too bad for me,,I didn't return to that pizza place ever.

    No, and I think breaking teeth is a myth - when I had my retainer, I got kneed in the jaw in a swimming pool hard enough to snap the wires on the bottom one and the plastic of the top one, but no teeth broke...

    Yes, just recently I managed to chip the tiniest bit off the bottom of a front tooth. Don't remember what I was eating, I think it was an apple.

    My MIL broke a whole tooth on a cheese sandwich. They figured it must have been the stickiness of it that broke it, the teeth stuck together and then the suction breaking when chewing that just broke the bond. Must have been an earlier crack or something.

    I broke my tooth on a gummy bear. I have read where this has happened to other people. I understand that this candy is largely composed of gelatin which contains cow bones and hooves. Gummy bears should come with a warning.
