Movie stars are cool? Movies are cool...but I think movies stars are annoying, and a bit of an embarrassment. It's nice that they are all conveniently confined to that little corner of the country where I don't have to deal with them :)

Because they can choose roles that are cool that people will remember them by in the real world. Also they obviously have celebrity status.

They're considered 'cool' because they make assloads of money doing what everyone wants to do, gain a shitload of notoriety doing it. And you've got to be pretty charismatic in order to do all of that. ...shit man, life blows.

If only we all strive to be just like Michael Moore. Of course, I assume you mean real movie stars.

Money, life-style, fame, often confidence... and an illusion that they are actually like the characters they play. . These things might make you feel they are "cool".
