If I'm at home, I like it all cut up at once. At restaurants or with others, I cut as I eat. But it's usually cold by then, and I deal with it for politeness. +5

Eating with one's fingers have their own benefits. The question of cutting does not arise. Cutting to smaller pieces is always done before cooking.

Cut as you go along or it gets cold! And from an etiquette standpoint that's perfectly proper. Cutting ahead of time is what you do for kids so you can go ahead and eat uninterrupted.

It depends. Sandwiches, soup, salads and popsicles I don't cut at all. Apples I eat right out off the core, and grapes I pluck one at a time. Nuts by the handful, and toast ... well, I guess you get the idea here.
