  • I guess because women already think of all men as dogs?
  • I think it is a good trait for a man to have (but it wouldn't be a dealbreaker by any means). It shows that they care about something other than themselves.
  • We have 5 dogs & although i would have still fallen in love with my hubby, it made me warm up & think he was the greatest for having a soft side. +5
  • Every single thing you can imagine being equal, the guy who loves dogs is the better man.
  • They are probably kinder and more patient .
  • Only in that it shows that he can love something. But, maybe a man loves a horse or a cat or a bear. The main thing is that he can love something other than himself. More important is does he love God. That shows you that he can put something before his self. Also, what is his relationship with his family?
  • It depends on how he loves them. At the very least, he would be a better person than one who abuses dogs.
  • No i don't think so, just because somebody an show love to a pet and dote on them it doesn't mean they dote on people in much the same way. I love cats and go completely ga-ga over them, but i'm not like that with men lol :)
  • Dogs aren't easily fooled. They are very aware of the character and trustworthiness of a person. That said, I wouldn't be impressed by Jim loving dogs so much as I would be impressed by dogs loving Jim. And dogs are not always aware of whether a man is able to commit and live up to the commitment. But I would take a dog's recommendation into consideration as part of the evidence that a man was a good man. It was one of the things I noticed about my husband when I first met him. Even more so, I noticed that he had a calming effect on even the most nervous horses, which told me he was kind and trustworthy.
