Not sure why people are DR'ing this question. Acid is great software for a typical home (or beginning professional) music producer. It falls a bit short of more "serious" software like Reason, or Digital Performer, but considering their relatively huge price tag, acid offers probably the best bang for your buck. It is also quite easy to use, and very well supported. I still routinely juse it to digitize some creative ideas as it is very painless compared to many of the other applications I use.
