If your computer's hard drive gets a knife through it, your computer will have a problem. If you reset the computer, the knife is still there.

If your car says the O2 sensor needs to be replaced and you reset the trouble code, the O2 sensor still needs to be replaced. See where I'm going with this?

The ECU needs the info from the O2 sensor to regulate a lot of variables including fuel flow to the intake manifold. Replace the O2 sensor and it should fix the problem, unless there's an underlying problem yet to be diagnosed.

    Hope this helps,
    Good luck
