  • Can't answer for the rest of the world but the U.S does. =]
  • The US does, although not all states or territories participate (Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Arizona don't, although the Navajo nation does)
  • Most places in the US do. In Indiana and Ohio there are places where some do and some don't. I think that's weird and confusing. I think that there are other places don't do it too but not like Indiana and Ohio. The whole area doesn't do it; not the individual people.
  • Canada does, except for the province of Saskatchewan.

  • yep in US Spring forward Fall back.
  • The trend of movin clocks up in spring and back in fall was set up years ago 2 give farmers more time in the field. Today with our technology we don't need 2 do that anymore besides, it's a real pain to some. Today farmers can watch tv and enjoy air conditioning or heat in farm equipment- so leave the d*$n time alone already and i'm sure many countries along w/ the U.S do this still
  • i have a friend in australia and she said they have put the clocks back for the first time this year.

  • Not all countries observe day light savings because it affects agriculture and other activities. It also can throw off times from other countries. Some major countries that do not observe it are India, Iran, Hong Kong, most of Africa, currently India does not. Iraq has not since 2008 and Iran passed a law restoring it in 2008.Isreal does and so does palestine.Japan is investigating its pros and cons on energy use, but may use it soon. The philipines experimented with it but got rid of it in 1992 and again in 1998. It has been proposed again in 2006.South Korea has been off and on throughout the 1900's and should reinstate it April 2010. Syria uses it it now. Taiwan has stopped using it since 1976. China, Georgia, Nepal, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia do not use it. (I'm out of room check next answer)
  • Yes, in parts of Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
  • (Continued from last one) Austraulia last used it in 1944 during WWII. New Zealand uses it as do bases in Antartica. All u.s territories do not observe dst. They include Samoa, Guam, Northern Marina Islands, puerto Rico, and virgin islands. All parts of the U.s use daylight savings except for Hawaii and Arizona. All countries in Europe observe it except for Iceland. That includes the U.K, Sweden, Norway, Romania, Spain, Italy, Germany, and many others. Turkey has potponed it until possibley 2011. In Russia Dst was origionally used in 1917 but abandoned 5 months later. It was reintroduced during the USSR in 1981. Practiacally all of Canada observes some form of Dst. Greenland excluding two minor parts observe it.Honduras ended its use in 2006. Cuba restarted it in 2008. Argentina has decided not to use it. But Brazil will use it this year. Chilie observes it but columbia does not. Paraguay does and so does uragay. Depending on time zone and how much sun a country receives throughout the year a country will have it or not.
